Half-time Stats

The half-time method is another interest, and looking at the stat for the UK league

Premiership

  • Man Utd and Man City have lead at half-time 4 out of the 6 times
  • Newcastle and Fulham have drawn 4 out of 6 times
  • Bolton have lost at half-time 4 out of 6 times

Championship

  • Southampton & Brighton have lead 5 out of the last 9 games
  • Cardiff City have drawn 7 out of 9 games

League One
  • Charlton have lead at half-time 8 out of 10
  • Exeter have lost at half-time 7 out of 10

League Two
  • Oxford have lead at half-time 8 out of 10
  • Macclesfield have drawn at half-time 7 out 10

The odds are pretty good, so wondering how many of these will be correct

football - 27th September - Results

Guess I did badly midweek

Home wins
Brighton v Crystal Palace HW @ 1.73
LOST 1-3
Derby v Barnsley HW @ 1.83 LOST 1-1
West Ham v Ipswich  HW @ 1.57 LOST 0-1

Away side to not lose
Coventry v Blackpool AW @  2.5; Draw @ 3.3 WON 2-2
Doncaster v Hull AW @ 2.5; Draw @ 3.3 WON 1-1
Wycombe v Preston  AW @ 2.25; Draw @ 3.25 WON 3-4

I am still interested in this method, just got to pick the in-form team, but mid week will be difficult as there are not many games to chose from, so may go for the HT/FT during this time.

Football 27th September

I am now playing a strategy that I used a long time ago.
Working out the form teams at home and away, then choosing two from the home team to win outright, and then the two away sides not to lose.
So in effect you are betting on 4 outcomes

Home wins
Brighton v Crystal Palace HW @ 1.73
Derby v Barnsley HW @ 1.83
West Ham v Ipswich  HW @ 1.57

Away side to not lose
Coventry v Blackpool AW @  2.5; Draw @ 3.3
Doncaster v Hull AW @ 2.5; Draw @ 3.3
Wycombe v Preston  AW @ 2.25; Draw @ 3.25

Odds are taken from the Coral website, and may have changed since this was published.

So the games that are of interest for Tuesday night are listed above. So if all come true, then I would have won my bet. If a few go against me then I may still win depending on whether they were in my pick, as I will only choose two from the three in each box.

Thursday 22 September 2011

Football 24th September

I am now viewing the Home and away form and the ones who score highest will be the only teams I will look at.
I used to bet on two home teams to win, and two away teams to not lose, so I did four bet.
It was good money, and I made a bit, but the annoying thing was it took too much time analysing the games.

Home wins

*Chelsea v Swansea @ 1.22
*Charlton v Chesterfield @ 1.37
*Huddersfield v Leyton Orient @ 1.5
*Sheffield Wed v Exeter @ 1.62

Football - 21st September - Carling Cup

Football tips for tonights game. I am going for the Half-time/full-time.

Brighton v Liverpool A/A @ 2.6
Man City v Birmingham - odds are too low. A double bet may be recommended
Cardiff City v Leicester - leave as Cardiff are not consistent, but Leicester has had some good results
Chelsea v Fulham D/A @ 5.2
Southampton v Preston H/H @ 2.46
Everton v WBA H/H @ 2.72
odds taken from Betfair

I am considering a double or treble bet, but it will be a low bet

Southampton v Preston HW @ 1.57
Brighton v Liverpool AW @ 1.57
Everton v WBA HW @ 1.67

Published on 21/09/11 13:07 GMT (I have noticed the time is out of sync)

Football - 20th September - Carling Cup

The games I am going for and considering the Half-time, Full-time result

Leeds v Man Utd A/A @ 2.36
Aston Villa v Bolton H/H @ 2.96
Wolves v Millwall H/H @ 3.25
Blackburn v Leyton Orient  H/H @ 1.98

More than likely get one right, but doubtful that all will come true.

I am avoiding Arsenal, although they are likely to win tonight, they are also likely to lose or draw. I am going to avoid until Arsene team becomes more consistent. Or I may just wait until they are winning then lay a bet against them

Football 15 September - Over 0.5 goals - Europa League

Some odds for the Europa League tonight. I am unsure what games to pick, so randomly picked three games, and may just go for an English team. Although Shamrock are more likely to lose.
I am just seeing if it is luck involved, or maybe it is a good idea to analyse the teams more.

Football 14/09/11 - Over 0.5 goals - Champions League - RESULTS

Results for over 0.5 goals for the Champions League.

Villareal v B Munich 1.07  Goal scored 7th minute
Benfica v Man Utd 1.08 Goal scored 24th minute
FC Bassel v Otelul Galati 1.08  scored 39th minute
Lille v CSKA Moscow 1.09 * WON 45th minute

Half time odds
Man City v Napoli  1.21 *
Ajax v Lyon 1.23 *

Right now that is Man City has had a goal, it is the 73rd minute with Ajax game at 1.95. If I follow this, and bet my stake now, will I win? Considering only one other game is 0-0, so there is a high chance that it could end 0-0.

Man City v Napoli  1.05 * WON 69th minute
Dinamo Zagreb v Real Madrid 1.04 scored 53rd minute
Inter v Trabzonspor 1.06 Goal scored in 76th minute

Ajax v Lyon 1.08 * LOST 0-0

Final score 0-0, so would have lost this bet, but the stake would be a lot higher than the normal 1.08.

The alternative is to bet for 0-0 at half-time.

Football 14/09/11 - Over 0.5 goals - Champions League

Odds for over 0.5 goals for the Champions League.

Ajax v Lyon 1.08 *
Benfica v Man Utd 1.08
Dinamo Zagreb v Real Madrid 1.04
FC Bassel v Otelul Galati 1.08
Inter v Trabzonspor 1.06
Lille v CSKA Moscow 1.09 *
Man City v Napoli  1.05 *
Villareal v B Munich 1.07

As the odds are so low, I am going to wait for two of the three games (asterisk) to score then I will bet on the remaining team to be over 0.5 goals. Hopefully the odds would have increased to 1.20

But will see how this goes, as one loss and you basically lose your profit...

Footbal - 12th September - RESULT

12/09/11
Amiens v Lens 1.18 (in 12th minute at 0-0) WON
Malaga v Granada 1.06 WON
Empoli v Sampdoria 1.11 WON

13/09/11
APOEL v Zenit St Petersburg 1.10 WON
Porto v Shaktar 1.07 WON

I really need to have a 100% win streak for this to be profitable.

Monday 12 September 2011

Footbal - 12th September

I have picked a few games to see whether I am lucky on this (the odds are so low you are favourites to win)

Picks and odds for over 0.5 goals

12/09/11
Amiens v Lens 1.18 (in 12th minute at 0-0)
Malaga v Granada 1.06
Empoli v Sampdoria 1.11

13/09/11
APOEL v Zenit St Petersburg 1.10
Porto v Shaktar 1.07

Sunday 11 September 2011

Over 0.5 Goals and under 1.5 goals in first half - 11/09/2011

Sunday 11th September 2011

Only bet once the odds is at 1.09 or above, and everytime I win I go all in (well to the whole pound).

New England v Dallas 00:30 1.08 - 2-0
Philadelphia v Portland Timbers 00:30 1.07 0-0
San Jose Earthquakes v Chicago Fire 3:30 1.09 2-0

Betis v Mallorca 11:00 1.09 *** WON scored 88th minute
Juventus v Parma 11:30 1.07  WON scored 15th minute
Birmingham v Millwall 12:30 1.09 WON scored 29th minute
Norwich v WBA 13:30 1.08 WON scored 3rd minute
FC Koln v Nurnberg 14:30  1.07 ** WON scored 31st minute
Fulham v Blackburn 16:00 1.09 ** WON scored 32nd minute
Wolfsburg v Schalke 16:30 1.06 * WON 13th minute

Under 1.5 goals in first half.
Better odd, so you go bet with a smaller stake, but the English League does not have many games that finish with 2 goals or more in the first half, and I guess that the European leagues will be similar as they are normally quite reserved.

Norwich v WBA 13:30 1.50 HT 0-1 WON
FC Koln v Nurnberg 14:30  1.47 HT 1-2 LOST
Fulham v Blackburn 16:00 1.44 HT 1-1 LOST
Wolfsburg v Schalke 16:30 1.54 HT 1-1 LOST

Please note that they are not games that I have bet on. I am currently viewing the outcomes to see whether they are profitable in the long run.

Interesting. If I bet on over 1.5 goals in the first half, and I would have ended up on top. The English League has the majority of games as under 1.5 goals in the first half.

  • Swindon v Southend 2-0
  • Burnley v Middlesbrough 0-2
  • Sheff Wed v MK Dons 3-1
  • Crewe v Barnet 3-1
  • Norwich v WBA

Over 0.5 goals in a game (the odds are in this game is very minimal, so you will need to bet around 15 times to win your original stake back). Not sure whether this is worth it, but I want to see how many 0-0 games occur, and whether you just got to wait until the odds go to your favour.

  • Bolton v Man Utd WON 0-5
  • Man City v Wigan WON 3-0
  • Stoke v Liverpool WON 1-0

Football - 10th September 2011

I decided to look at all the leagues, and am experimenting how many of the favourites will win, so will probably choose 5 teams and do treble bets from the selection (10 treble bet).

Obviously not all below will be correct.

Wolverhampton v Tottenham, HW @ 2.5
Bolton v Man Utd, AW @ 1.44
Barnsley v Leicester, AW @ 2.1
 Bristol City v Brighton, AW @ 2.25
 Cardiff v Doncaster, HW @ 1.62

 Cheltenham v Macclesfield, HW 1.91
 Northampton v Torquay, AW @ 2.75
 Plymouth v Port Vale, AW @ 2

Also, The sun top tips for BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

  • Blackpool v Ipswich
  • Swindon v Southend
  • Burnley v Middlesbrough
  • Sheff Wed v MK Dons
  • Crewe v Barnet
  • Norwich v WBA
I want to see whether this is profitable but never pay that much attention to how well the Sun prediction is, so if I make a record here, I can see whether this is a good market to play.

And, have decided to play the over 0.5 goals (ie, betting on games that will not end 0-0). It is low odds, but I am considering picking 3 games, and betting on one, and if a goal is scored, then betting that stake on one of the other two games, and if that happens then picking the final game.

  • Bolton v Man Utd
  • Man City v Wigan
  • Stoke v Liverpool
I'm a bit wary of Arsenal poor start, and Swansea could hold them, or get completely crushed by them, so avoiding this game.
Chelsea will probably get a goal, but they will probably start the game a goal down, as they are indifferent, but again, Sunderland are a very defensive team against the top teams, and will aim to not lose, and nick something near the end.
Everton v Aston Villa, I got the feeling Bent will score anytime, but still unsure whether there will be goals.

Football - 3rd September 2011

Well it is International week, so I have decided to look at the games in League one only

My prediction

odds taken from Coral on 02/09/11

Considering picking only three and doing 3 double bets, but not sure. I got a feeling that results are going to be unpredictable.
